Since 2008, Morning Star has brought together children, young people and adults from Bulgaria and abroad. Our stage welcomes solo performers, schools, studios, clubs, community cultural centres and academies: people with different experiences and a shared passion for the arts.
The festival is organised by the Morning Star Art Academy association. To us, every edition is a meeting point: between tradition and new ideas, between a first appearance before an audience and a confident return to the stage.
Today, editions in Bansko, Golden Sands and Pernik bring different rhythms to the same story. The city and the season change. What remains is the preparation, the encounters and that unmistakable feeling before the first note.

Morning Star’s Grand Prix comes with a real cash prize. It recognises the work behind the performance and offers tangible support for the next creative step.

The Morning Star Art Academy association is a member of the International Dance Council CID, an organisation in official partnership with UNESCO.
Dance and the arts build connections across languages and nationalities. On our stage, that idea comes to life through encounters between performers and teachers from different countries, schools and traditions.
